The Community
Pebble Beach is a small coastal, unincorporated gated community in Monterey County.  The community is a resort destination famous for the Pebble Beach Golf Links. The community is in the Salinas metropolitan area and is owned by the Pebble Beach Company. About 4,531 residents call the community home. A typical resident of the community is retired and well educated. Those in the workforce are also well education and are employed in social services, education and health care and some are in management and finance.  Famous residents of the community have included Clint Eastwood and George Lopez.

Attractions
Pebble Beach is famous as a golf resort. The community has seven public and private 18-hole golf courses. The most famous is the Pebble Beach Golf Links which is the only course that has beaten Pine Valley Golf Club to the No. 1 spot in Golf Digest's America's 100 Greatest Courses.  Visitors are also drawn to the Concours d'Elegance Auto Show which showcases classic cars and new luxury cars.

Education
Much higher than the national average, 61% of the community's adults have a bachelor's degree or higher.  Colleges in the area include Hartnell College and Heald College at Salinas, Monterey Peninsula Community College in Monterey, University of California at Monterey Bay, Bethany College in Santa Cruz, and the popular University of California at Santa Cruz.  There are many private schools in the community and surrounding area, including Pebble Beach's Stevenson School and co-ed half-day, half-boarding private high school. Public schools for Pebble Beach residents are provided by Carmel-at-the-Sea and Pacific Grove, both of which are excellent school districts.
